Membership of the TWMN is open to all working journalists from the least developed countries (LDCs). Those interested to become members of this organisation can either apply directly to the TWMN headquarters or to the concerned national chapters.

However, it is generally expected that the journalists from countries where TWMN has its chapters would apply for membership to the national chapters.

The TWMN is planning to expand its arm to countries where it has no chapters and that journalists from those countries are encouraged to apply directly to the TWMN headquarters, filling out the membership application form and mailing it to membership@twmn.org, along with a photograph.

Candidates applying for membership must fill out all the fields in the application form. Incomplete applications will not be accepted for consideration.

The TWMN will review the applications and award membership to the candidates after being sure of their involvement with the media organisations mentioned in the applications.
