In line with the objectives of improving the journalism standards, promoting press freedom and supporting initiatives for peace, prosperity and development, the TWMN undertakes the following programmes:

The organisation plans to introduce awards for excellence in journalism in various fields in the near future.
The TWMN, through its list server, has developed a network of journalists, media people, and various other professionals to disseminate information related to journalism, media, press freedom and other issues of public interest.
The TWMN also uses the list server and the web site to carry out its advocacy and campaign activities.
The TWMN is also developing partnership with other media organisations at national, regional and international level to work together for the improvement journalism standards and press freedom situation.
